In the forthcoming weeks and months I hope to gather together a series of articles related to Piedmont. The idea behind collecting this series of articles on this page is to give you some background information and hopefully a flavour of what this region of Italy has to offer in the way of food, wine, culture and scenery, all the ingredients of our tours. I hope that you will find them informative and would welcome any feedback or suggestions for further areas of interest. What better way to start than with an article about the wine that this region is particularly famous for. Moreover it describes a number of the cantinas that are known to us and have visited on tour.
