Welcome to Piemonte Motorcycle Tours. We specialise in motorcycle tours on Harley-Davidson® motorcycles in northern Italy and particularly in the region of Piedmont. Our unique tours are ideal for small groups (three or four riders) and “one to one” personal tours. By keeping our group sizes small we ensure that you get the maximum attention throughout your time with us both on and off the ride. This enthusiast-run business is driven by the passion to ride and the pleasure to share the beauty of this region with our guests and other like-minded individuals.
About our motorcycle tours
Our motorcycle tours will give you the unique opportunity to explore and experience the “real Piedmont” (in Italian– “Piemonte”), not as a tourist, but as a friend of a fellow biker who genuinely lives in this region. This is a unparalleled motorcycling experience in which you will see firsthand this extraordinarily beautiful and virtually untouched region of northern Italy. Our fleet of Harley-Davidson® motorcycles are regularly serviced and maintained by our good friends at HD Alba – all our motorcycles are touring or cruiser models.
The riding style of our tours is leisurely, in harmony with the surroundings, allowing you time to enjoy the ride and to soak in the fabulous panoramas – we focus on the quality of the journey not the quantity of kilometres covered in a day.
Whilst our tour routes are centred in and around the region of Piedmont you will also ride into Liguria, along the Ligurian coastline & Cote d’azur and through stunning winding mountain pass roads & historic tunnels into southern France; all comfortably accomplished within a day’s ride from our farmhouse base.
Our previous clients typically comprise Harley-Davidson® enthusiasts & passionate motorcyclists seeking to experience “something unique”, riding one of the most nostalgic, classic and famous brands of motorcycle.
Carefully selected Routes
All our routes are carefully selected and diligently pre-ridden to avoid the “tourist traps” and heavily trafficked roads used by many. We favour the lesser travelled routes through unspoilt scenic countryside. We visit only the best family-run pizzerias, coffee shops, trattorias (small local restaurants) & cantinas (wineries) where the authentic traditional Italian/Piemontese way of life and hospitality is warm and genuine.
Our traditional farmhouse base, Cascina Belbo is located in the Alta (high) Langa hills of Piedmont and has been tastefully renovated internally to provide in-house luxury B&B accommodation; all rooms having their own private bathrooms and a sumptuous breakfast to energise you for the day ahead. It is the perfect location from which to ride out, as you are literally in the heart of some of the best scenery and awesome riding roads in this region. Moreover you can ride out in virtually any direction from here and experience something different every single day of your stay with us. We also arrange airport pick-up and drop-off from Turin or Genoa International airports.
Culture & scenic diversity
The region of Piedmont is rich in culture and history but is probably most famous for its excellent Piemontese cuisine, white truffles and fine wines. In recent years the vineyard landscapes (which surround and are superb for motorcycling) have been awarded UNESCO world heritage status and is a great location to visit, photograph and enjoy on two wheels. There are literally hundreds of hilltop medieval towns and villages each having their own unique character and local speciality (for example, chocolate, wine, truffles, salami, cheese or ice-cream) and should not be missed (as many do) by simply riding through – these are the best places to stop, meet the locals, have a coffee, chat and move on enriched with a little piece of local history and perhaps a new circle of Italian friends.
If this type of motorcycle touring appeals to your sense of adventure & and you want to try something “out of the ordinary” – send us message at email@example.com or through our contact form on this website
